Applications

Ferritic-perlitic nodular cast iron with high mechanical properties and good resistance to fire cracks. Mainly used on large roughing stands, it maintains good wear resistance along with a high degree of mechanical strength.

The high level of toughness of this cast iron allows its use even under high rolling stresses, often replacing steels normally used on these stands.

Its high resistance to fire cracks makes it suitable for use wherever a significant reduction of the "orange peel" effect is required.
